Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye steaks (14oz each)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. 1Remove steaks from refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking to bring to room temperature.
  2. 2In a small bowl, mix minced garlic, olive oil, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to create a paste.
  3. 3Rub the garlic paste evenly over both sides of the steaks.
  4. 4Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until very hot.
  5. 5Add steaks to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  6. 6Add butter and rosemary to the skillet during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
  7. 7Baste the steaks with the butter and herb mixture.
  8. 8Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  9. 9Slice against the grain and serve immediately.
