Ingredients
- 2 ribeye steaks (14oz each)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- 1Remove steaks from refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking to bring to room temperature.
- 2In a small bowl, mix minced garlic, olive oil, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to create a paste.
- 3Rub the garlic paste evenly over both sides of the steaks.
- 4Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until very hot.
- 5Add steaks to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
- 6Add butter and rosemary to the skillet during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
- 7Baste the steaks with the butter and herb mixture.
- 8Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- 9Slice against the grain and serve immediately.
